Bradley R. Davis, MD, MBA, FACS, FASCRS is a distinguished surgeon, educator, and leader in the field of colon and rectal surgery. He currently serves as a clinical professor of surgery at Wake Forest School of Medicine and the executive vice chair of the Department of Surgery at Carolinas Medical Center, Atrium Health. With a career spanning over two decades, Dr. Davis has made significant contributions to surgical education, patient care, and clinical research.
Dr. Davis earned his BA in biology from The Johns Hopkins University, followed by his MD from SUNY Buffalo School of Medicine. He later obtained an MBA from Queens University, further enhancing his leadership and administrative expertise. His surgical training includes a general surgery residency at the University of Cincinnati Medical Center, a fellowship in surgical critical care, and a fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at Lahey Clinic Hospital.
A highly respected leader in his field, Dr. Davis has held numerous leadership positions, including chief of the Division of General Surgery, chief of the Section of Colon and Rectal Surgery, and surgical director of the Center for Digestive Health at Atrium Health. His clinical expertise encompasses minimally invasive and robotic colorectal surgery, surgical education, and quality improvement initiatives.
Dr. Davis is a prolific researcher and educator, having published extensively in peer-reviewed journals and contributed to national surgical guidelines. He serves as a senior oral examiner for the American Board of Colon and Rectal Surgery and is an active member of multiple professional societies. His dedication to surgical education has earned him numerous teaching and excellence awards, solidifying his reputation as a mentor and leader in the surgical community. His work continues to impact patient care and the future of surgical training.
