Dr. Kwabena Agbedinu ( MBChB, FGCS, FWACS) is a Colorectal Surgeon at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH), Ghana with a special interest in understanding the genetic basis of early-onset colorectal cancers seen in the Ghanaian population and Africa at large. He received his Bachelor of Science in Human Biology from Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), Ghana, and his MD in Surgery and Medicine at the School of Medical Sciences, KNUST, Ghana. He received a Diploma in Project Design and Management from the Liverpool School of Tropical Medicine, Liverpool, UK. He is also an adjunct Senior Lecturer at the School of Medical Sciences, KNUST. He is passionate about cancer advocacy, raising awareness for early detection of colon and rectal cancers. He loves teaching and mentoring the next generation of Ghanaian surgeons.
