Tomojiro Ono M.D., Ph.D. is a chief proctologist of Osaka Central Hospital, Osaka, Japan. He is a board-certified surgeon (Japan Surgical Society, 2010), a board-certified gastroenterological surgeon (The Japanese Society of Gastroenterological Surgery, 2018), a board-certified coloproctologist (The Japan Society of Coloproctologist, 2013) and a board-certified clinical proctologist (Japanese Association for Clinical Proctology, 2022). He acquired M.D. after graduating from Kyoto Prefectural University of Medicine in 2004 and Ph.D. after graduating from graduate school of Fukushima Prefectural University of Medicine in 2012. He became a professional proctologist after working as a gastrointestinal surgeon for 15 year after graduation of medical school and now he mainly performs surgical care for benign anorectal disorders such as hemorrhoids, anal fissure and anal fistula in Osaka Central Hospital. He also engages as an instructor for trainee proctologist in the hospital. As a proctologist, he also offers repair surgery for perineal laceration, and going to present our standard repair technique for patients with fecal incontinence following severe perineal laceration.
