Kathryn Ottaviano is a 4th year general surgery resident at Albany Medical Center in New York. She received her BA from Wesleyan University, Post-Baccalaureate Premedical certificate from Columbia University, and MD from Rutgers New Jersey Medical School. After her 3rd clinical year, she completed a two-year Research Fellowship at Albany Medical Center in C. Michael DiPersio’s lab studying integrin alpha3beta1 and its effect on tumorigenesis and progression of colorectal cancer. She also completed a certificate in Clinical Investigations at Albany Medical Center and the Association of Women’s Surgeon’s Reviewer Academy. She is applying to colorectal surgery fellowship this application cycle.
