I grew up in a small town called Salisbury, NC for about 18 years and spent most of my time playing soccer or baseball. I began my studies at North Carolina State University where i received a bachelors of sciene degree in biology and bachelor of arts degree in chemistry. I then went on to Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine at Virginia Tech with aspirations to become a surgeon. I continued that path with a residency in general surgery at Geisinger Northeast in Wilkes-Barre Pennsylvania where I felt a specific interest in general and colorectal surgery. I was accepted to the Ochsner LSU-Shreveport colon and rectal fellowship where I currently train. I am extremely excited to begin my practice next year closer to home to help those rural communities in need of surgical care.
