Katerina Wells, MD MPH is an academic colorectal surgeon with a broadbased clinical practice. She specializes in the management of colon and rectal cancer as well as benign colon and rectal diseases including complex IBD, pelvic floor dysfunction and anorectal disorders.
Dr Wells serves as the Associate Program Director for the Baylor Scott and White Colorectal Fellowship which comprises 3 fellows across three sites.
She also holds the directorship of Colorectal Surgery Research at Baylor University Medical Center at Dallas. In this role, she oversees involvement of the division with multicenter clinical trials and institutional trials. She is PI of a number of prospective studies in collaboration with basic and translational scientists. Her academic interests include surgical quality and inherited colorectal cancer and polyposis syndromes.
She has been a member of ASCRS since 2012 and is an active committee member
