  • Describe operative and medical management of Crohn’s disease fistula.
  • Describe pre-operative optimization of enterocutaneous fistula patients.

Enterocutaneous (EC) Fistulas are an uncommon complication following abdominal surgery, but have a major negative impact on the quality of life of patients and can be very difficult to treat. Treatment can take several months to years and requires a multidisciplinary approach. The symposium will detail the evaluation of patients with ECF, discuss medical management and optimization, new techniques, and when to operate. Special considerations for multi-specialty approach should be addressed
