Nicole Bouvy is Professor of Surgery at Maastricht University Medical Center in The Netherlands. She is interested in innovative surgical techniques that are associated with less surgical complications. She wrote more than 300 publications on topics like anastomotic leakage, incisional hernia, adhesions, endoluminal reflux and bariatric surgery. She is president of the EAES congres in Maastricht 2024 10-14th June and will be the first female president of the European Association of Endoscopic Surgery in 2025. Her passion is to make health care and especially the OR more sustainable.
