Justin Dourado, MD, serves as a General Surgery Resident at Florida Atlantic University, where he focuses on preparing for a career in Colorectal Surgery. Currently, he is in a Clinical Research Fellowship, bridging the gap between his third and fourth years of residency, within the department of Colorectal Surgery at Cleveland Clinic Florida. Dr. Dourado earned his undergraduate and medical degrees from the University of Florida, where his love of surgery developed. His past scholarly pursuits have encompassed diverse areas of investigation, including enhanced recovery after surgery, colorectal liver metastases, pouch surgery, and ostomy continence devices. Additionally, he has a passion for education and aspires to integrate this passion into both his forthcoming research endeavors and clinical practice.
