Greg Kennedy, MD, PhD graduated from the University of Washington School of Medicine and received his PHD in cancer biology from the University of Wisconsin where he also completed his general surgery training. He completed a fellowship in colon and rectal surgery at the Mayo Clinic in Rochester, MN. He is currently the John H. Blue Chair of General Surgery and the Executive Vice Chair of the Department of surgery at the University of Alabama in Birmingham. Greg has served as the President of the Society of University Surgeons and is the President-elect of the Society for Surgery of the Alimentary Tract.
