My name is Michael Gerges, DO. I am a PGY-4 general surgery resident physician in the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in Philadelphia, PA. I'm interested in pursing a colorectal surgery fellowship as well as an academic surgical career. I moved from one contient to another when I was a teenager which was initially very difficult on me but it turned out to be the best thing that ever happened to me since I landed in the land of opportunity. Fun fact, I speak coptic language which is what ancient egyptian language used to sound like but in greek letters.
