My name is Chris Varghese. My qualifications include MBChB, BMedSc(Hons), and I am currently enrolled in a PhD with the Department of Surgery at the University of Auckland. I am a junior doctor pursuing a career in academic general surgery. My research goals are to improve outcomes for people with gastrointestinal disease through translational digital platforms. I'm interested in surgical recovery, GI physiology, data science, artificial intelligence, and digital health.
