Catalina Ortiz Monasterio Ruge, MD, is a final-year General Surgery Resident at the American British Cowdray Medical Center in Mexico City. Dr. Ortiz Monasterio graduated Summa Cum Laude from Medical School at Universidad La Salle. After excelling in the national medical licensing exam, she secured a position in the highly competitive General Surgery Residency Program at one of Mexico's leading hospitals. She graduated with honors in her professional examination in General Surgery at the American British Cowdray Medical Center.
Throughout her residency, Dr. Ortiz Monasterio demonstrated exceptional academic and clinical performance, consistently scoring above the 90th percentile in the national in-training examination for surgery residents (PUEM) every year.
