Carson T. Herbert, B.S., is a fourth-year medical student at the University of North Dakota School of Medicine & Health Sciences. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of North Dakota in 2022, graduating summa cum laude and earning recognition as an Honors Research Scholar. Currently a member of the Medical Class of 2026, Carson is preparing to apply for residency in general surgery, with the ultimate goal of pursuing a fellowship in pediatric surgery.
Carson's research experience includes work on breast and bladder cancers in collaboration with the Department of Biomedical Sciences at UND. He is committed to contributing to further advancements in surgical innovation and improving patients' access to care. He plans to remain actively involved in research throughout his surgical training and beyond.
