Dr. Roni Rosen is a general surgery resident at Hackensack University Medical Center in New Jersey interested in pursuing a career in colorectal surgery. She recently completed a research fellowship at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center in New York, where she contributed to clinical and quality improvement research. Working with Dr. Joshua Smith and Dr. Emmanouil Pappou, she studied the oncologic outcomes related to nonoperative management of rectal cancer and patterns of recurrence in anal squamous cell carcinoma. Under the mentorship of Dr. Garrett Nash, she developed various pilot studies to support preoperative goals-of-care discussions and collaborated with other institutions to examine factors influencing the efficacy of and participation in team-based morbidity and mortality conferences.
