Jessica Chin, MD is the current administrative chief resident in the General Surgery program at UIC Metro Group Hospitals in Chicago, IL. She has a keen interest in colorectal surgery and cancer prevention. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Western Ontario before pursuing research in oncologic cellular changes at Baylor College of Medicine. She completed her medical training at Rush Medical College where her passion for community outreach flourished. She enjoys teaching medical students and serving under-resourced patients. Outside of medicine, she recharges by traveling, exploring local restaurants and fitness classes. She is excited to stay in Chicago for her colorectal fellowship at Cook County Hospital!
