I am Dr. Chuang Wu, an Associate Chief Physician in the Department of Proctology at Shanghai BaoShan District Hospital of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine, affiliated with Shanghai University of Traditional Chinese Medicine. My clinical focus is proctology, and I am proficient in both surgical and non-surgical management of benign anorectal diseases. I have particular expertise in the surgical treatment of circumferential mixed hemorrhoids, complex anal fistulas, chronic anal fissures, and perianal abscesses. My practice also incorporates integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine approaches for managing chronic colitis, IBD, and geriatric constipation. I am actively involved in several professional organizations, holding memberships in the Intestinal Microecology Research Branch of the Shanghai Society of Traditional Chinese Medicine, the Anorectal Branch of the China Association for the Promotion of Traditional Chinese Medicine Research, and the Anorectal Professional Committee of the China Geriatric Healthcare Association. I also contribute to committees within the Shanghai Social Medical Institutions Association and the Shanghai Society of Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine. I look forward to participating in ASCRS 2025 to exchange knowledge and learn from leading experts in the field.
