Dr. Hayoung Lee, MD, PhD, is a Clinical Associate Professor at Kyung Hee University Hospital at Gangdong in South Korea. She specializes in colorectal surgery, with a particular interest in surgical innovation and colorectal cancer treatment. She earned her Ph.D. from the University of Ulsan College of Medicine after completing her fellowship in the Division of Colon & Rectal Surgery at Asan Medical Center.
As an early-career surgeon, Dr. Lee is continuously learning and refining her skills while contributing to research in colorectal cancer and minimally invasive surgery. She has had the opportunity to publish in journals such as Cancers (Basel), World Journal of Surgery, and Surgical Endoscopy and to present her work at international conferences. She is an active member of The Korean Surgical Society, The Korean Society of Coloproctology, and The Korean Society of Surgical Oncology.
