Prasad Palanisamy, MBBS(Hons) MRCS MPH MMED(Surgery) (he/him/his)

General Surgery Resident

Dr Prasad Palanisamy is currently in his fourth year as a General Surgery resident. He completed his medical degree with honors from Monash University, Australia, in 2016. After graduation, he returned to Singapore to begin his medical career, where he developed a strong passion for General Surgery and subsequently joined the SingHealth residency programme. He is also a member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and holds a Master of Medicine (Surgery) from the National University of Singapore. Dr Prasad is also passionate about healthcare policy and collaboration. To deepen his expertise, he pursued a Master of Public Health at Imperial College London, where he graduated as valedictorian. Beyond his clinical responsibilities, Dr Prasad is an avid sports enthusiast. He plays competitive hockey in the local Singapore league. He also enjoys traveling and challenging himself with mountain hikes.
