Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, followed by residency in General and Digestive Surgery. Earned a PhD in Medicine in 2013. Fellow of the European Board of Coloproctology since 2017. Associate Professor at the Autonomous University of Barcelona, with over 2,000 hours of teaching experience. Has supervised three undergraduate and/or master’s final projects and has served as a resident tutor since September 2023, accredited by the Department of Health’s General Directorate of Health Professionals.
With more than eight awards to his credit, he is an active member of several prestigious national and European scientific societies, and currently serves on the executive board of the Spanish Association of Coloproctology. He has participated in multiple coordinated multicenter research projects. His academic trajectory includes over 30 contributions to specialized and educational books and 43 indexed articles (as of March 2024), accumulating more than 625 citations and an h-index of 14 since initiating his research career in 2013.
