Jacob Wasserman, born and raised in Tampa, FL, is a second-year general surgery resident at the University of South Florida. He initially completed his undergraduate degree in biology and philosophy at the University of Florida, where he was also a member of the wrestling team for four years, before returning to his hometown to attend the University of South Florida for medical school. He hopes to pursue a fellowship in colorectal surgery following completion of residency training.
