Aubrey Swinford, MD, MS, is a general surgery resident at USC+LA General Hospital, currently undertaking a dedicated year of colorectal research at the Keck School of Medicine of USC. Originally from Athens, GA, he earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of Georgia, where he also played varsity baseball. After graduation, he spent two years working with children and young adults with developmental disabilities before enrolling in a post-baccalaureate program at Tulane University. He went on to earn his medical degree from Tulane University School of Medicine in 2021. Dr. Swinford’s clinical interests include colorectal cancer, minimally invasive surgery, anorectal disease, and medical education. He plans to pursue a colorectal surgery fellowship upon completing his general surgery training.
