PGY3 general surgery resident at Yale who is currently spending 2 years of dedicated research time conducting research under a T32 grant. Originally from Minnesota and went to undergraduate and medical school on the east coast, I am excited for the warm weather of San Diego. Research interests vary broadly and include: cancer immunology/immunotherapy research, clinical trial design and development, large database analytics, and robotic surgery AI applications. Our team started this robotic colorectal surgery AI research about 1.5 years ago, and it is very exciting to see how quickly this work has evolved and grown. I am very fortunate to have such wonderful team members from the Yale Computer Science Department and the Yale Colorectal Surgery Department as this research would not be possible without their help and support.
