Micheal C. Luca is a resident in general surgery at Ascension Providence Hospitals in Michigan, affiliated with Michigan State University. With a background in Surgical Oncology, he received training at the National Cancer Institute of Cairo, Egypt, and earned a Master's degree in surgical oncology. His primary research and career focus lie in colorectal surgery, particularly in colorectal and anal malignancies.

Dr. Luca played a pivotal role as both an organizer and speaker at the international conference "Bridging Gaps in Oncology" (BGO 2019), where he addressed HIPEC therapy for colorectal cancer with peritoneal carcinomatosis. His ambition is to pursue a career in global colorectal medicine, aiming to share his knowledge and expertise with underserved populations.
