Professor Jia-Gang Han the chief physician and doctoral supervisor of the department of general surgery, Beijing Chaoyang Hospital, Capital Medical University. He served as member of the Youth Committee of the Chinese Society of Surgery, member of the Colorectal Surgery Group of the Chinese Society of Surgery, member of the Colorectal Surgery Group of the Chinese Society of Oncology, member of the Beijing Medical Society of Surgery, deputy chairman of the rectal Cancer Neoadjuvant Therapy Professional Committee of the Beijing Cancer Prevention and Treatment Society, member of the TaTME Special Committee of the Surgical Branch of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, member of the TaTME special Committee of the Colorectal Cancer Committee of the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, member of the Colorectal and Anal Professional Committee of the Chinese Society of Research Hospital, member of the Gastric Cancer Professional Committee of the Beijing Cancer Society. He also served as magazine editorial board of Chinese Journal of Gastrointestinal Surgery, Chinese Journal of Surgery, Chinese Journal of Experimental Surgery and Chinese electronic journal of Colorectal Diseases
Professor Jia-gang Han is engaged the treatment of gastrointestinal tumors and anorectal benign diseases, especially in gastric cancer, colorectal cancer, bariatric surgery: (1) intersphincteric resection (ISR), partial ISR and modified partial ISR in ultralow rectal cancer; (2) extralevator abdominoperineal excision (ELAPE) for low rectal cancer, and use biological mesh to reconstruct the pelvic floor, and propose individualized ELAPE surgery to reduce postoperative complications; (3) elective surgery following self-expandable metallic stent and neoadjuvant chemotherapy in patients with left-sided colon cancer obstruction. (4) carry out sleeve gastrectomy combined with the acute His angle reconstruction, sleeve gastrectomy plus uncut jejunojejunal bypass. (5) perform LIFT-plug to treat anal fistula.
