Professor Jia-gang Han is engaged the treatment of gastrointestinal tumors and anorectal benign diseases, especially in gastric cancer, colorectal cancer, bariatric surgery: (1) intersphincteric resection (ISR), partial ISR and modified partial ISR in ultralow rectal cancer; (2) extralevator abdominoperineal excision (ELAPE) for low rectal cancer, and use biological mesh to reconstruct the pelvic floor, and propose individualized ELAPE surgery to reduce postoperative complications; (3) elective surgery following self-expandable metallic stent and neoadjuvant chemotherapy in patients with left-sided colon cancer obstruction.
