**Biography of Dr. Raúl Morán**
Dr. Raúl Morán is a general surgeon specializing in colorectal surgery, currently completing a fellowship in Mexico City. Born and raised in Mexico City, he attended public schools and earned his medical degree with honors from the Metropolitan Autonomous University of Mexico (UAM ). During medical school, he focused on gastrointestinal research, publishing his work and presenting at national and international conferences.
After graduating, Dr. Morán completed his general surgery residency at a leading hospital in Mexico City, where he gained expertise in open and minimally invasive techniques. His dedication and skill earned him the *Resident of the Year* award twice. He is now pursuing a fellowship in colorectal surgery, specializing in advanced procedures for colorectal cancer, inflammatory bowel disease, and complex pelvic floor disorders. His clinical interests include robotic and laparoscopic surgery, with a focus on improving patient outcomes and reducing recovery times.
