My name is Michael Froehlich, MD, a resident at Stony Brook University Hospital who will be pursuing Colorectal Surgery fellowship. I am currently a PGY3 working on completing my residency, as well as partaking in numerous research projects, primarily utilizing a institutional colorectal robotic database we created, as well as the National Cancer Database (NCDB). My primary research interest is complicated diverticulitis and oncologic outcomes in those treated minimally-invasive techniques.
