Dr Elise Lawson is an Associate Professor of Surgery in the Division of Colorectal Surgery at the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She completed her general surgery residency at UCLA and Colon and Rectal Surgery fellowship at the Lahey Hospital and Medical Center. In addition, she earned a Masters in Health Services Research at the UCLA School of Public Health. She is the Director of the Surgical Collaborative of Wisconsin, which aims to ensure access to high quality surgical care across the state. In addition, she serves as the Vice-Chair for Diversity, Equity and Inclusion for the Department of Surgery and is committed to building an anti-racist inclusive culture at UW.
