Anyelin Almanzar, MD is a board-certified surgeon with specialized expertise in colorectal surgery. She is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor at NYU Langone Health.
Originally from the Dominican Republic, she earned her Doctor of Medicine degree from Universidad Central del Este. Dr. Almanzar pursued her general surgery residency at the Johns Hopkins Hospital and MedStar Health in Baltimore, followed by a fellowship in colorectal surgery at the MedStar Washington Hospital Center/Georgetown University Hospital program.
Her clinical and research interests are centered on colorectal cancer prevention, with a particular focus on addressing disparities and improving patient outcomes.
In her personal time, Dr. Almanzar enjoys traveling with her husband and spending quality time with her family.
