Ankit Sarin is an Associate Professor of Surgery, Division Chief of Colorectal Surgery and Vice Chair of Robotics & New Technologies at the University of California – Davis. He trained at Cornell Medical Center, Barnes Jewish Hospital and at the University of Californis - San Franscisco. With a robust background in surgical academia, he previously held key roles at UCSF, excelling from Assistant to Associate Professor of Clinical Surgery, directing Robotic Surgery and serving in various other roles. He was recruited to UC Davis to rebuild colorectal surgery and has been instrumental in growth and maturity of the division there. Dr. Sarin's expertise spans complex colorectal surgeries, pioneering research in opioid reduction, ERAS implementation, and novel robotic techniques.
