Vassiliki ( Liana) Tsikitis Bio
Dr. Vassiliki ‘Liana’ Tsikitis is a professor at Oregon Health & Science University (OHSU), where she has been faculty at since 2011. During her tenure, she completed a Master of Clinic Research at OHSU, and a M.B.A. in Healthcare Policy at Brandeis University. She currently serves as head of the Division of Gastrointestinal and General Surgery. Clinically, Dr. Tsikitis specializes in the surgical management of malignant and benign colon and rectal diseases. Her primary focus is on the surgical management of patients with advanced colon and rectal cancer as well as with complex inflammatory bowel disease. Her research focus is on microbial dysbiosis leading to colorectal neoplasia and examining the tumor microenvironment differences between early and late onset colorectal cancer.
