Learning Objectives:

Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
  • Implement current recommendations regarding adjuvant therapies for colon and rectal cancer.
  • Analyze various tumor markers and "labopathies" that occur following CRC resection.
  • Identify and manage outcomes following CRC resection, focusing on the aged.

This symposium will review and update on important considerations following resection of Colorectal Cancer. Topics will include indications for adjuvant therapy, updates on small molecules and their use. Additionally, participants will learn appropriate patterns of surveillance and the use of circulating tumor DNA and genetic testing. Finally, we will discuss functional outcomes following colectomy, with a focus on the aged.
