  • Review and evaluate current accepted practice for management of complex and recurrent fistulae in the light of recent advances.
  • Recognize novel methods to evaluate complex/recurrent anorectal fistulae.
  • Discuss novel methods of managing/treating complex and recurrent anorectal fistulae.

This symposium will provide a comprehensive overview of evolving methods to treat complex anorectal fistulae. The most recent data on LIFT and endorectal advancement flaps will be reviewed during this session. In addition, stem cell literature will be presented. A critical review of laser fistula surgery will be performed. Finally, cutting seton and fistulotomy for complex fistula will be revisited.
