  • Explain when it is appropriate to operate on someone with pelvic floor disorder.

Patients will often present with a variety of complaints related to pelvic floor dysfunction. Symptoms can be nonspecific, and patients frequently see many different physicians before their symptoms are accurately evaluated and treated. This symposium will discuss the initial evaluation and workup of patients with pelvic floor dysfunction, discuss what tests may be recommended, and discuss how to set up pelvic floor testing such as anorectal manometry in the office.
